Harm Reduction

The Outreach Society is proud to deliver Take Home Naloxone Kits and training to people who are likely to witness someone experience an overdose. Help us break the stigma and host a training session with us.

The BC Center for Disease Control started the Take Home Naloxone program in 2012 to provide life-saving training and kits to people at risk of an opioid overdose. There are now over 600 sites participating across British Columbia. The Lifeguard Outreach Society is a mobile harm reduction site and will deliver free Take Home Naloxone kits and training in your community.

Our team will train individuals and groups while on our outreach trips. Please let us know how we can help you community reduce harm and break stigmas. Connect with us to organize outreach programming.

Kits are available at no cost to:

  • people at risk of an opioid overdose
  • people likely to witness and respond to an overdose such as a family or friend of someone at risk
